Pity Party

Ever had one?  Well I'm having one/had one.  It's pretty much done.  Let me tell you how it started.  Since my blog is private I don't really care if I write about this.  I think I only have 3 readers anyways so I'm just gonna complain about this.

I love my job.  I love how flexible it is.  I love how if I don't have appointments I don't have to go in.  I love everyone I work with.  I LOVE hair!  What I don't love is that I don't have a steady paycheck.  I don't get benefits.  I don't get paid vacation.  If it's a holiday and it lands on a day that I work and I decide to take that day off.  I just lost money.  Not only clients money but I also still have to pay for my booth that day.  I work 6 days a month, 2 days a week, and I pay just as much as I would to be renting an apartment.  THIS is all OKAY, because I knew that's what I was getting into.  I get the flexibility for myself, my family and kids, that most people do not get.  So this is not a complaint.

My complaint is that when I'm working and I have a full day and I'm booked with back to back appointments, that doesn't mean that I'm making the big bucks.  I love walk-ins and referrals.  Those are what brings me money.  So the other day I had a full day of requests and a walk-in color at the end.  My requests weren't big money makers.  That means I was looking forward to my color.  Color is my #1 thing. I'm very good at it.  Most of the time when I can just get someone in my chair that's all it takes.  They are my clients after that.  So I get done with all of my requests and I go to check my books and my color isn't there.  They must of canceled.  I was so bummed.  That was money and I love colors.  I kept looking for some reason and the walk in was moved to another girls books.  I ask the receptionist why.  She said so and so did it and she wasn't sure why.  I was pissed!!  So and so isn't in charge of the books.  She is just like me.  All she does is work there.  So I go up to this girl and ask her why.  I tell her that she basically just took $80 bucks from me.  Her only reason was that the girl who she moved the appointment to didn't have anything all day so she gave her mine.  We exchanged a few words.  I had a vision to smack her in the face, with a chair, real hard.  I understand what's done is done.  Maybe I'll be able to get over my pity party faster now.  I really hate know it all's and I seem to be around a lot of them.

Now to make matters worse I have to go tell the Manager, who I really like.  She deals with a lot of bull crap coming from the 30 people that work there.  Most of the issues are minor.  I know mine is a little bit of a bigger one but that doesn't make it any easier to tattle.

April Fools!

I got a few ideas for April Fools off of Pinterest.  I've had it for a couple months.  I'm so bad at keep secrets, especially from Brady that I was hoping I could wait long enough and pull this off.  It was nothing crazy.  Just a little Icy Hot on the toilet seat.  I put a little too much in the front and not a whole lot in the back.  (Oops, my bad.)  :)  It still did the trick.  I got yelled at, threatened, and there were words that I won't write down for Brady's sake.  He told me to run because I was going to die!  I felt a sense of accomplishment with his reaction.  Happy Fools Day!  Until next year........

Weekend Weather

Did anyone else love the weather as much as us.  I was really not meant to live here, but I will support my husband and stay.  I guess.  Even if it means crappy winters.  Well here are a few pictures of our weekend fun.

These next 3 pictures below are so cute to me.  Brady wanted to take the Harley for a spin since it was only here for the weekend.  So Baine was on his bike and and Brady pulled up beside him.  Baine was wanting to race so the pictures are of them racing.

I went and bought Baine a kite from the Dollar store on Friday.  We came home and put it together and it didn't work.  Brady came home and tried to fix it and it broke.  Oops!  So Brady took Baine on Saturday to buy him a "better" kite.  Baine kept saying kite all day long and I didn't think he really knew what it meant but he was sure excited to fly it.

Mike & Molly

So Brady and I watch the show Mike & Molly.  Ever heard of it?  It's pretty funny.  Crude at times, but what isn't these days.  Anyways we are watching it the other night and Brady says to me, "we had better be careful because we are on our way to looking like those two!"  If you haven't ever seen the previews or the show it's about an overweight couple.  They are pretty big too, to say the least.  Now I have always struggled with my weight.  What can I say, I like to eat.  In the 9th grade when I made the softball team and they told me to go get a physical, the doctor told me I was overweight then.  I couldn't believe it!  I didn't feel fat at all.  So I know this is my struggle that I'm going to have to deal with for the rest of my life.  I knew that then and I still know that now.  Our big problem at home is now that we have a kid and when it was winter it was just easier to stay at home.  So you find yourself eating earlier for the child and putting the child to bed early.  Well then you need a snack later.....right?  Wrong!  Well we ate our snacks anyways.

Well I don't want to be that Mom who is too hefty to play with her own kids.  I don't want to get type 2 diabetes from my own laziness and stupidity.  So here is to making a new life for my family.  I'm going to try to eat healthier and teach my own children to eat healthier.  No more giving myself a treat while Baine eats a apple!  :)  Embarrassing I know but it happens. Haha!  I would like to be a runner but that is going to have to take a lot of effort from me so I'm going to start with walking and weights.  I need to build some muscle. Especially since my shape-ups were kicking my a## yesterday!  Again, embarrassing I know.  I am embarrassed that I let myself get to this point but with some motivation and hopefully some dedication this will be the worst of it!  No more Mike & Molly at our house.  I don't need Brady to have a meltdown because he is so afraid of being overweight!  Fear can be a good thing.

Boise

I hope these pictures will load.  I don't know why my other ones aren't showing up.  They are showing up on my end so I don't know how to fix it.

We went to Boise last weekend to get out of town for a couple days.  We stayed with Alison at her apartment.  It was a ton of fun but we were ready to come home.  My little family was so so tired at the end.  I think Alison was a little pooped at the end too.  Being pregnant and she wasn't going to bed early or getting naps.
Baine did really well in the car.  We were really impressed.  We borrowed a DVD player and took a few movies that he maybe watched 20 minutes of.  I went to Target before the ride home to buy a Backyardigans DVD but it was just as much as a movie so I couldn't bring myself to do it when he would only be watching it once.  I'm glad I didn't because on the way home he slept from Boise clear to Pocatello!   Yup he was THAT tired.
We did a lot of fun stuff!  We went to an Aquarium where you can feed and pet the fish.  There was a Octopus there which was really cool.  We went to the Zoo and Baine's favorite part was the Carousal.  Mine was the Giraffes, and Brady's was the Lions.  It was so fun to see Baine's expression when he saw real live animals.  He thought it was the coolest thing!
We also went to a pretty cool park the last day.  It was 60 degrees there!  Oh how I wish that was the case here.  I wanted to breakout my flip flops.  We also took the kids to a fast food play place everyday which was a little crazy.  When we went after the Zoo to eat Baine wanted to play so bad but was so tired he just would roll around on the ground of the play place.  At one point he was laying down by the shoes.  So funny!  I should of got a picture.

Random Fun

Here are some fun pictures of lately.

Went to the store.  Baine was being a turd
so Ashley taught him how to hold on to the
front of the cart.  He loved it.  Now I don't
think he will ever sit in the cart.
We went to the park on a nice day.
It took him a second to like the swing again.
He got the hang of it pretty quick though.

Kentlee got rid of some toys and Baine
loves to push anything he can.  Especially
carts and strollers.  He also loves babies right
now.

I love these two together.  Except last time Baine kept shoving him down.
Sorry Bo.  Baine doesn't know what to do when he doesn't
exactly get his way.

These pictures are from a day when a house was getting put in behind us.  Baine literally stared out this window and yelled for 30 minutes, "Dirt! Dirt! Dirt!"  I actually left him up in my room so he could yell and I didn't have to listen.

Stacey was here last week for a visit.  One of the days when Ronin was here too, the kids got naked and thought it was hilarious!  Actually the grown ups thought it was pretty funny too.  I don't know who laughed the hardest but it was a good time. I nearly peed my pants.  Baine didn't pee on anyone so I guess that was a success!
