Random Fun

Here are some fun pictures of lately.

Went to the store.  Baine was being a turd
so Ashley taught him how to hold on to the
front of the cart.  He loved it.  Now I don't
think he will ever sit in the cart.
We went to the park on a nice day.
It took him a second to like the swing again.
He got the hang of it pretty quick though.

Kentlee got rid of some toys and Baine
loves to push anything he can.  Especially
carts and strollers.  He also loves babies right
now.

I love these two together.  Except last time Baine kept shoving him down.
Sorry Bo.  Baine doesn't know what to do when he doesn't
exactly get his way.

These pictures are from a day when a house was getting put in behind us.  Baine literally stared out this window and yelled for 30 minutes, "Dirt! Dirt! Dirt!"  I actually left him up in my room so he could yell and I didn't have to listen.

Stacey was here last week for a visit.  One of the days when Ronin was here too, the kids got naked and thought it was hilarious!  Actually the grown ups thought it was pretty funny too.  I don't know who laughed the hardest but it was a good time. I nearly peed my pants.  Baine didn't pee on anyone so I guess that was a success!

New Member of the Fam

Our friends are moving and needed to get rid of their cat.  I'm sick of how many mice we have because we live in a field, so......here is the the newest member of the family, Bandit.  (Don't croak Mom, he's staying outside.)  Hopefully he does his duty or he will be the newest member to Tarbet Farms.

I found this a while ago on Facebook.  I guess there's a holiday for hairstylist's now.  Crazy.  They make holiday's for everything now it seems like.

If you ask yourself why hairstylists "charge so much" for doing your hair ... They don't get paid vacations, they don't get paid sick days, they don't get bonuses for outstanding performances nor for Christmas. They don't have insurance plans nor do we qualify for unemployment. They sacrifice their family on special days so that they can bring happiness to others. Illness or personal affairs are not excuses for a bad haircut/color. Next time you ask, remember that hairdressers are hairdressers because of the love of doing hair, but that love doesn't pay debts. Happy hairstylist's Day!!

Procrastination

Brady and I are huge procrastinators!  If it's not something that we want or has to be done right away, it doesn't get done.  For example, our front door painted, the top for our stairs finished, banister finished, entertainment center, so on and so on.  We never NEEDED that stuff to move into our house.  So here is another something that we put off.  My Mother and Father in-laws' Christmas present.  I just barely got it accomplished this week and I think it looks awesome!  I love the saying too.  It fits!

Love Day

I LOVE Valentines Day!  I always have.  I loved when I was younger taking the valentines treats to all your classmates and friends.  Every other year for valentines and our anniversary we take turns and this year it's my year.  Brady loves pizza and steaks and well I'm not much of a steak cooker so I went with pizza.  Not just ANY pizza, a HEART shaped pizza!  I did this once before and I don't think he really cares but I think it's cute.  The pizza came with cookie dough so I shaped that into a heart.  :)  I forgot to take pictures of our gifts to each other.  I got flowers.  If you know me you know I love flowers.  They might be a waste of money to others but they totally brighten my day and my house!  I told Brady not to waste his money this year on flowers.  Good thing that man doesn't listen to me.  :)  I got him a card and made it as corny as I could.  He hates that.  I figure my cooking is part of his gift.  I also got him some heart shaped Reece's and made him take them to his office at the shop so they don't tempt me at home.

I got this idea from pinterest.  It's a hersey kiss made from rice krispies.
Brady isn't a big fan of sweets and the only chocolate he eats is Reece's.
He does eat rice krispie treats though.

This little guy was pretty happy yesterday too.  My parents always got
us kids a little something for valentines so I thought I would keep that tradition
going.  So I got Baine, Tyrone, from the Backyardigans.  He loved it! Every
time he would drop it he would yell at me to get "Rone"!
We also took a little something to the Grandma's that morning.  I know that we should always try to express our love for our family and friends everyday of the year but I love having a "holiday" if you will, that is here to help remind us to show love for one another.  Valentines day, to me, just isn't about having a significant other.  It's about showing love and appreciation for everyone in your life.  Happy V-day!

Busy Busy

I feel like when you are a stay at home Mom, when you are actually busy you feel overwhelmed.  I feel like I don't really know what it's like to be busy.  I base my day around Baine and trying to keep him busy and entertained.  So the last couple weeks I have done hair at my home A LOT!  I haven't spent as much time with Baine so he hasn't been getting much attention and well, let's face it, he doesn't do well when he doesn't get his attention.  (He's like his Momma in that way.)  Anyways one day last week I PROMISED him if he would just be good while I finished a client that I would give him my full UNDIVIDED attention!  He must of understood because he went from devil to angel in .2 seconds.  Here is how the day went.

We went to go see the fishes.  Which they usually aren't there since it's frozen but there is one little part that's not frozen.  That day they were there so as soon as he saw one swimming he started walking towards home saying "bread".  Halfway home he made me carry him.  So when we got home I didn't really feel like carrying him back so I was trying to talk him out of it.  Nope the fishes needed bread.  I went and got some bread and walked back outside and he was patiently sitting in the stroller to be pushed.  Smarty pants!

FxCam_1328728335500.jpgAs soon as we got back to the house I made us some lunch and he ate it all and was really into the T.V. so I let him watch for a minute and then I thought I would put him to bed.  Nope he had put himself to sleep.

I learned this one on pinterest.  You put food coloring in shaving cream and they can paint in the tub.  So easy to make, and SOOO easy to clean up.  He loves tub time and that afternoon it was raining, and all he wanted to do was go outside.  That's all he ever wants to do either that or watch Backyardigans and he wasn't feeling the T.V. that day.  Too bad.

The water was super dirty so we had to drain and put new in
to get the actual bath in.

Had to send a note to Daddy.  Brighten up his day!

What a fun day!  I'm so lucky that I only have to work 2 days a week, for the most part, and I get to spend the rest with this cute little guy!  He has taught me a lot and I feel like I'm a better person.  I seriously have the best life! A job that I LOVE!  A husband who rocks!  My family who does anything and everything for me!  My in-laws are pretty good to me too!  Sorry if your jealous.  :)  I would be.

Have You Ever........

Locked yourself in a room just to get away from your child so you could finish an important phone call?

Well I have.  Twice.  Within the past week.   Is this considered neglect?  He was sure upset with me when I finally let him in.  He had the pouty face with his bottom lip stuck out as far as he could. The doctor said that the terrible twos were starting.  I would rather not have him bring that up because I swear they started as soon as we walked out of Dr. Clark's door.

I also wish I could take 1 shower by myself.  Nope as soon as Baine hears the shower going he runs upstairs and takes his pants off because he wants to get in.  I tell him no and he stands there and cries until I get out.

He also learned the word no the other day.  It's awesome.  He says no and I say yes and then I'm in a fight with a 18 month old.

Good thing he's just so darn cute or I might want to chuck him sometimes.  He really is a good kid though. It's just crazy how at 18 months I almost feel like I'm raising a teenager.  Oh how I'm not looking forward to those days.  If our kid is supposed to be twice as bad as we were, well...........I don't even want to think about it.

So Cute

Seriously isn't this picture the cutest thing?  I love these kiddo's and although Baine doesn't play the nicest sometimes and screams, a lot......these kids do play good together.  This is at my Mom's when Sunday night football was on, and well Baine wasn't having any of it.  He was tired and getting mad!  He wanted to watch Backyardigans.  So I turned Netflix on my Mom's computer and got the Backyardigan's on and now you can see what happened.  They were loving it!
