A Weekend With The Cousins

Here they are at the Jump Zone

Baine took this picture.  He's quite the little photographer.  This is Alison and Gabriella.

Baine took this one too.

Baine loves babies.  He always has.  He loves to hold them.  He loves to help them and make sure they have toys.  I love watching Mom's just freak out when my kid gets close to their baby.  He seriously has always been so soft but since they don't know that they watch him like a hawk.  It's pretty comical.

The Thometz's came up for the weekend.  Jason had an interview, which got cancelled.  They still made the trek up.  It was nice to see them and I think it was less stress because they were only here a couple of days instead of a week.  After a week I think the kids want to kill eachother and the parents want to pull their hair out!  I love watching Baine with his little cousins.  I think he's such a cutie with them.  He does get tattled on a lot though.  Haha!  Guess he's kinda naughty.  :)

The Bobka Plague

We've been really sick this winter.  I think everyone has.  I'm throwing a pity party for us though because we've been EXTRA sick.  We all had the flu in the beginning of December and let me tell you, I seriously thought I was dying.  Everyone had better pray that I don't ever get a terminal illness because I am a A+ wuss!  I really don't think I've ever been that sick in my life.  Baine didn't know what to do with himself.  He would literally just throw his body around, flailing his arms and everything!  Poor kid.  Brady just went to work everyday.  I seriously don't know how he did it.  It took us over a week to get better and then a couple of weeks later we all got a cold.  Not horrible but still pretty bad.  Then a couple of weeks later me and Baine got the flu yet again.  It wasn't as bad this time.  We had temperatures and after 3 days of Baine having a temperature of 103 I knew I had to try something big or take him to the Dr.  I did a detox bath with epsom salt and doterra oils.  I put him in the bath around 7.  Let him soak for a 1/2 hour.  I didn't wash him because I wanted to let it sit on his skin.  I went up and checked him temperature around 10:30 and it was all the way down to 97 degrees!

Who knows if it's those oils or if it was luck.  It just makes me mad that I've seen these oils work for my family but yet it takes us 2 different flu's and Baine to be on his 3rd day of a fever for me to finally break out the oils.  Even Brady was convinced after this one.  Maybe he'll stop calling me the witch doctor.

Bad Parenting

We went to a birthday party at the gymnastics part of Sports Academy.  Baine loved the trampolines but would not jump into the foam blocks.  Brady jumped in just to show him it was fun.  He didn't care, he wasn't jumping in.  So since we are such good parents we decided to make him jump in.  He was ticked!  Whoops!  Oh well it was pretty funny to watch.

More Bed Pictures

Creepy Santa

We went and visited Santa at the Cache Valley Mall.  It was the same Santa as last year and let me tell you.  Baine did not like him.  I don't blame him.  I'm kind of feel bad I even made him sit on his lap.  What Santa has teeth missing and a not-so-white beard?  Well the Cache Valley Mall Santa does.  He doesn't even "HO HO HO" or talk cute with the kids.  Next year we're going somewhere else to visit Santa.

Polar Express

A couple of nights before Christmas we had a Polar Express movie night at my Mom's house.  Each grandchild was given a ticket to get on the train.  Phil punched their names in the ticket.  Mom made some hot chocolate.  At the end my Mom gave each grandchild a bell.  It was a fun night!  Hopefully we keep the tradition.

Christmas Day

So I blame a lot of these pictures on Brady.  He was in charge of the camera at my Mom's and as you can see didn't do too well.

So Christmas Eve we put Baine to bed in our room because I wanted Santa to be able to put his new bed together in his room.  Worst. Nights. Sleep. Ever!  Baine has never slept with us.  He never would.  So sleeping in the same bed on Christmas Eve really did suck.  Santa was able to put the bed together, so on Christmas morning we woke up and first thing we headed into Baines room to show him his new fire engine bed.  That has been the best thing we've ever had.  He plays in his room all the time.  He loves being under his bed since it's kind of like being in a tent.  After we showed him his bed we headed downstairs to open the rest of the gifts.  We gave him his stocking first and there was a flashlight in it.  He LOVES flashlights.  So it was over from there.  Could of cared less about anything else.  He wanted that dang flashlight.  I've also never seen a kid open presents so dang slow.  It would of taken all morning but I started to help.  I couldn't handle it.  Santa brought him some books, tub crayons, a bunch of little odds and ends toys and a train set.

Around lunch time we headed out to my Mom's for some more Christmas fun.  Our Christmas from them was supposed to be Disneyland but Mom decided the kids each needed to open up one more gift.  :)  So Baine got a tractor from Grandma and Grandpa, and some hulk gloves from one of Kara's kids.  I can't remember who had who.  Both gifts get used everyday at our house.  He's so good with playing with toys.
After we opened gifts we had our prime rib feast.  Grandma Audrey joined us.  It was such good food!  Can't go wrong with prime rib.

Later we went home to give Baine a nap and through a little miscommunication through me and Brady we went to his Dad's house for more partying.  Shayna and Steve bought Baine a break dancing Mickey Mouse that is pretty cool and a hot wheels race track with a bunch of cars.  I didn't get any pictures there.

It was a long day but pretty laid back.  It was a lot of fun!

Things That Baine Says

Baine:  Is Kelsey there?  Hi Mom.  I'm at Rozz, Dad not come pick me up.   I'm mad!

Scenario:  Baine wants to start peeing while standing up.  I go in to watch him to make sure he isn't messy.  He gets done, I say good job now pull your pants up.  I walk away.
Baine: Booya!
Mom: (laughing) Did you just say booya?
Baine: yeah. (Like no big deal)
We don't say booya so it was weird.

Mom:  Baine, why are you so tired lately?
Baine:  I just busy Mom

Baine: Mom, my belly's hungry.....(pause).....and so is my weiner.

Christmas Eve

This is what Ro gave Baine.

Stacey, Sonya, Steph and Ro were here for Christmas Eve. It was pretty laid back and a lot of fun.  We had a ham dinner, opened some presents and then watched the Grinch and drank some green drinks.
Stacey gave Ro and Baine some roller skates.  As soon as Ronin got them opened and on his feet he stood right up and tried skating.  It was so hilarious and cute!  He rolled right over to my front door and when his skates hit the tile, down he went!  He's such a trooper though.  Brady took him by the hands and they went skating in the kitchen.

He's opening up a book Stacey gave him.

There's Baine skates.

They're looking at the cute book Stacey gave them.

Brady's wearing Ronin's gift from Baine.

Here Ronin and Baine are opening up their presents from Grammy.
She made them Superman and Batman capes.

I tried getting a picture of the 2 boys with their capes on.  It's hard to see.  I had my finger over the flash danggit!
Here Baine is opening the door because the Elves rang our doorbell and left Baine a present.

The present was Christmas jammies to help him sleep at night so he doesn't wake up went Santa comes.  They're Woody from Toy Story, jammies.

He's got Grammy's necklace on.  I had to take a pictures because Brady gets so mad when Baine does anything slightly girlish.

He's pretty proud of his Woody jammies.

Christmas Lights

This is all Brady right here.  I never have a dirty look like this.

He was mad because he wanted my camera.

We put up Christmas lights for the first time this year.  I thought they looked pretty good but Brady thought they looked redneck.  Baine loved flipping the switch every night to turn them on.  Hopefully next year I can talk Brady into putting them up again.

First Snow

These pictures are from the first snow fall of this year.  Baine couldn't remember the snow.  He was looking out the window and asked if that was carpet on the ground.  Haha!  So we hurried and went out to play.  It was a good thing we hurried because the snow melted that afternoon.
