Christmas is over :(

I love Christmas!  I love all the holidays really.  I love the lights, smells, colors, snow, presents, decorations, I love it all!  This year we didn't do any shopping until December 24th for reasons I won't name.  So the 24th we headed to Logan and got everything handled.  Brady and I decided we weren't doing anything for each other this year so we could save our money for Denver.  Well we have done this before and Brady never holds up his end of the bargain so I'm done with that.  I told Brady we will never do that again and there will always be Christmas in our house!  When we went shopping I was looking for something for Baine so we could at least get him one present.  Well then I got sidetracked and as we were driving home I remembered and felt so bad.  I'm not one of those people that think "oh he's too young he won't remember."  Well it's Christmas!  So we ended up not getting him anything.  I'm not proud of it, but it happened.

5 Months

Baine is now 5 months!  I can't believe it.  Things that he is doing now,

• Jabbering more and more.  In the car, when he gets his diaper changed, to nothing in particular.   He still is screaming too.  (like a little girl)
• Rolling over.  He did back to front on Monday.  Last night he did front to back.  I know it's a little backwards but hey at least he's doing something now.
• Eating his cereal and veggies better.  He loves his carrots! 

 This is what happened when I asked Brady if he would feed Baine his cereal for breakfast.  Apparently carrots was the better idea.  I still don't know why there was no bib.

Christmas Goodies

So the past 3 years Mom, Kara, Jess and I have all gotten together to make Christmas goodies to give to all of our friends.  I have to say, they're pretty tasty treats we make.  I had a problem this year eating a lot of it.  No wonder losing the baby weight came to a screeching halt.  I didn't get any pictures of us girls but I did get this sweet picture of Molly in the swing!

Babysitting

I got to watch Molly the other day and Brynly came over so I asked her if she wanted to stay and play, really I asked because once you get two kids together it seems easier because they can play together and not get so bored with me.  It was a lot of fun.

Baine was pretty pooped after all the crazines.

Little girl friends

I went and visited with two of my friends from the Kutting Edge the other day.  Baine was born in July.  Collette on the left was born in August 4 weeks early and Daisee on the right was born in September.  It was fun to visit with their Mamma's and get to see the little ones together.

Lovin his feet

He is loving his feet right now.  You wouldn't think that he could reach them but he can.  They can entertain him for quite a while.

A little bit of everything

This post is about Baine (of course) my new little nephew and Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving was very good this year. It was Brady's side this year. We went to his sister Stacey's house who is always a good host. I cooked a Turkey for the very first time. I marinated it overnight but cooked it a hair too long. It was still pretty good though.

That evening we headed out to my mom's so I could plot my Black Friday route. We went this year but really had nothing that we really wanted. Suzette and Jordan came. It was still a good time though.

We started feeding Baine cereal. He's not too big of a fan yet because we can't feed it to him fast enough.


He's sitting up too. The last two weeks he's been doing it more and more. It's crazy how fast they catch on because now he sits up so quite a while.....until he pukes because his gut gets in the way.

Here is the newest addition, Bo. That's the only picture I have of him. Sorry my big ol' head is taking up most of the picture. He was born on November 2nd and is bigger now and looks just like his Daddy. Have I mentioned I LOVE being a Aunt?

Halloween

Better late than never. We didn't do much for Halloween. We went to our friends house on Friday for a Halloween party. Brady wouldn't wear his costume, it wasn't child appropriate. Ha. I was the devil. Fitting right? It was fun and we got to take Baine. On Saturday we didn't dress him up. He had a cold and wasn't very happy that day. So this picture was taken on Halloween at my mom's. He was in the costume long enough to get a picture and then off again.

3 months old

I can't believe he's 3 months. Almost 4 now. I keep meaning to go get his 3 month pics done. I might go in a couple of weeks and get some done for Christmas. We'll see.

I love being his mom and I couldn't ask for a better kid! He is all I know but he's awesome!

What's New

We are finally in our house. It's so fun and perfect! Brady did a good job building it. I'll post pictures later when I have it the way I want it. That might be a while though. I'm a little slow.

Brady is really busy with work. It's funny because with hair, it's certain times of the year that I'm busy. That makes sense right? Well that's the same with cabinets. (Which doesn't make sense) This time of the year is always busy. I'm trying my hardest to be supportive but I want to be selfish to. I want him home all the time. I just need to remember that at least he has a job with work.

Baine is growing like crazy. He likes to talk. He likes to spit. He likes to blow bubbles. He is VERY social. If you start to talk to him you had better make sure you have time to keep talking. He doesn't like short conversations. He gets ticked when you walk off. So when I'm trying to get stuff done I just try not to pay attention to him when I put him in his chair or swing because then he'll want me to stay. They other day we were playing and he started to giggle when I was bouncing him. He hasn't done it since. It was fun though. He is almost out of his 3 month clothes. He will be 3 months tomorrow.

As for me, I'm staying busy with hair and trying to get everything organized at home. I'll get some more pictures posted soon. Those are the best part of blogs.

I know I know

I know I post WAY too many pictures but I have to. This is my journal/scrapbook. Plus who doesn't love looking at pictures!?! I thought I had something to write about but my brain left me 12 months ago and hasn't returned so.......

I took him to his first soccer game. Jaxon's the all-star. That's no joke. That kid has talent! He is pretty much good at whatever he does. I'm a little jealous. (yeah I know he is only 6)

2 Month Appointment

Monday we went to the Doctor for Baine's 2 month appointment, I lost my dang papers so I can't remember the exact % of everything but he weighs 13 lbs - 84%, his length 23" - 50%, his head 15" and I don't remember what % that was. Last time his weight and head were both in the 50% and his length was in the 24%. So he's growing good. I was really worried about his weight when they told me he was 13lbs. Dr. Clark assured me that it was just fine and that breast fed babies gain a lot at first but then level out. So I feel better about that.

Baine also got his 4 immunizations. He loved that stuff that they have them drink. He screamed for the shots. When they were over and I was getting him dressed I gave him some Tylenol and he calmed right down. I gave him his binkie (I don't know how you spell binkie) and I have never seen him suck on it so hard. When we walked out we ran into Grandma Audrey and she was asking him how the shots were and he started talking back but he sounded like he wanted to cry. He was telling her ALL about it. It was so funny!

Well this past week has been good. A little crazy but good. Brady leaves me from 5ish to 9ish everyday. It makes for long days for him. They're long for me too, despite what he thinks. I can't wait until we are in our house so we can enjoy our time together again. I try to go there as much as I can. I don't do anything but get in the way. For some reason though Brady likes it and keeps telling me to come "help".

Baine is growing like a weed. I find out tomorrow what percentile he is in everything. Last appointment he was in the 50th in all of them. Exciting! I started trying to get him to nap in his bed. After a lot of crying and me feeling bad, it seems that he's getting the hang of it.

I think he has his mom's neediness because sometimes he just whines until I go talk to him then he gives me great big smiles and starts talking back. It's worth the crying and whining to see him cheesing it.

As for me, I can't wait until I have a sink and a chair again. Something about washing everyones hair in the tub is just getting old. I'm staying busy enough for what I want. It's amazing to me all my clients who are driving out here, especially if they are at the other end of town. That was the one thing I didn't want to give up. Eventually your clients turn into your friends and I was going to miss that.

The house is coming along good. We should be in by the end of the month. It's all up to Brady now. He is pretty much doing the rest of it so we'll see. It's looking good. I'll have to get a picture of the front when all the siding is on. Hopefully it's all on by Monday.
