Walking Baine

This Spring/Summer So Far

Well here we are in the middle of June already.  I don't think I'm ready for this.  Last year at this time I only had one more month to go with being pregnant.  I was living in a rental and just barely got a loan to build a house.  Now I'm living in a beautiful new home with a beautiful 11 month old and a hottie for a husband!  What could be better???  No seriously!  Here's a few pictures of some days when it's not raining.

I don't know why he was putting his head down here.Then he kept falling forward on his neck.  I thought he was choking himself.

We went with Ashley and her kids to Ryan's park in Riverheights one of the days.  Cutest park I have ever seen!  Too bad I don't live closer.

We went to the pool with some friends the other day.  I didn't get a picture of anyone  else's kids so I might have to steal a few from their blogs.  It was a lot of fun!  Baine doesn't really love his bath.  He especially hates it when I lay him down to wash his hair.  So I was scared the whole pool thing would be a bad idea.  He loved it!  I'm pretty impressed.

I just thought this was a goofy picture.  He looks like a cartoon character right here.  :)

After the park Baine was pretty pooped and kept trying to push his old swing. So I thought I would put him in it like old times.  It would barely swing and made a pretty sad noise while doing it.

Milestones

It's time for a little update.  Baine within 2 days has decided to crawl and walk!  Here's how it happened,

I was over at a friends house and Baine was playing with some toys.  His little friend Kamry has been crawling for a while and she is really the only other baby he is around.  Well maybe he was taking some pointers because he was eyeballing this particular toy and literally just got up on his hands and knees and crawled right to it!!!  Crazy.  I have been trying and trying and TRYING to coax him into crawling.  I have even stuck toys that he LOVES out for him to try and go get it.  Apparently I just didn't have the right toy.  

Anyways so then the next day I went to lunch with another friend and her daughter loves to babysit Baine so I left him with her.  When I got back she told me he had been walking.  I asked if it was on his own and she said yes.  I didn't really believe her because I just was thinking maybe she would hold him a little ways from the couch and let go of him and he would walk to it.  (He's been doing that for a couple months so that's really what I thought she meant.)  So we get home and it's nap time so I give him a bottle, prop him up on the couch, turn on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for him to watch while he eats and I head in the kitchen to clean it.  I keep peeking around the corner checking on him and after a couple times I take a peek and he's trying to fling his legs and roll off the couch feet first (which I've been trying to teach him).  So he does, get's down and walks around the couches.  He stops, looks at the coffee table, stares at it for 10 or so seconds and walks right over to it!  WHAT?!?!  So then I walk into the room trying to get him to walk to me and he just holds his one arm out to me and whines.  Yup that's right.  Lazy little turd.  

It's crazy because all the milestones that kids supposedly hit Baine is doing in one week.  He now sits up in his crib, he also pulls himself up to standing now in the crib and yells.  It would be awesome if he started talking by tomorrow.  :)  Now I'm just waiting for his first word!
