Have You Ever........

Locked yourself in a room just to get away from your child so you could finish an important phone call?

Well I have.  Twice.  Within the past week.   Is this considered neglect?  He was sure upset with me when I finally let him in.  He had the pouty face with his bottom lip stuck out as far as he could. The doctor said that the terrible twos were starting.  I would rather not have him bring that up because I swear they started as soon as we walked out of Dr. Clark's door.

I also wish I could take 1 shower by myself.  Nope as soon as Baine hears the shower going he runs upstairs and takes his pants off because he wants to get in.  I tell him no and he stands there and cries until I get out.

He also learned the word no the other day.  It's awesome.  He says no and I say yes and then I'm in a fight with a 18 month old.

Good thing he's just so darn cute or I might want to chuck him sometimes.  He really is a good kid though. It's just crazy how at 18 months I almost feel like I'm raising a teenager.  Oh how I'm not looking forward to those days.  If our kid is supposed to be twice as bad as we were, well...........I don't even want to think about it.

So Cute

Seriously isn't this picture the cutest thing?  I love these kiddo's and although Baine doesn't play the nicest sometimes and screams, a lot......these kids do play good together.  This is at my Mom's when Sunday night football was on, and well Baine wasn't having any of it.  He was tired and getting mad!  He wanted to watch Backyardigans.  So I turned Netflix on my Mom's computer and got the Backyardigan's on and now you can see what happened.  They were loving it!

Family Fun

We went sledding up at The Sinks, (I think that's what it is called).  It was a ton of fun.  Baine loved it!  All he wanted to do at the end was sit on the snowmobile.  He didn't want to ride it or leave his Dad.  Just sit.  We rode a sled down the hill and he loved that too.  By the end he was really tired, hungry, and cold.

He had fallen asleep on the ride back to the truck.  It was probably a 2 minute, really bumpy ride.  So funny!
Poor kid falls asleep on anything with a motor.

Top 11 for 2011

Stole this from my Mom's blog.  Thanks.

11.  Going to all the fun parks with Baine.  Watching him grow and being able to do something new everytime we went.

10.  My first MRI, and being blind in one eye for 3 months.  That was a hit!  (not)

9.  Finding out Mom didn't have cancer.  I don't know what I would do without my shopping pal.

8.  Baine's birthday party.  I had a lot of fun was I was able to settle down.

7.  4th of July in Lewiston.  Always a good time.

6.  Our 4th year anniversary.  The comedy club was really fun.

5.  Going back to work.  I had missed it.

4.  Going to the pool with friends.  I should of been born by a beach.

3.  Getting our yard in.

2.  Baine's first big owie!

1.  Just watching Baine grow and hanging out as a family.  I never thought I could be so happy and content with my life.  Some of my favorite memories are going to be just staying at home and letting Baine be our entertainment.  Who needs T.V.?    Okay okay I couldn't actually take it that far!

18 Month Stats

Wt: 26.4lbs 50th something %
Length: 33 1/4"   80th something %
Head Circ: 48.3 cm 70th something %

I didn't pick up the paper that gives what exact percentile that he is in but I do remember a little bit.  The doctor was pleased with his weight.  He's staying pretty steady on the grid now.  Maybe he was just a short and fat baby and now that he is getting length he is getting skinny.  Haha.  Just kidding I really don't know but he was a chubby chubby baby.  SO cute!

Baine did really well with the shots.  He cried when he got poked and still whined when I picked him up, but at least he gave the nurse dirty looks and not me this time.  He knew who was causing him pain.  Anyways he got a sucker and was very pleased so he was over it.  Of course I pumped him full of Tylenol but just the one time that day.  He really did good.  I was so scared to get his 18 month shots because a lot of my friends kids didn't do well with them.  Baine's 12 month shots were by far the worst.  He was not fun the day after!

Next doc appt.......2 years.  I hate that he is so big.  :(

Busy Day

It seems like there are weeks where all I do is drive to Logan and then there are others when I hardly even go except to work.  Well this week we went almost everyday.  I felt bad that most of our day was spent in the car so I tried to fill it stuff that Baine could do.

We went grocery shopping at Lee's and we usually ride in the car cart but I thought he might like to push his own cart.  Let me paint a picture.  I get him his cart and if you know this kid you know he doesn't watch where he is going.  We started down a isle and something caught his eye so he was walking really close to the products.  The pool on the side of the cart pokes out to the side a little bit and got caught.  He kept walking and all of the stuff came tumbling off of the shelves.  And at one point he left his cart in the middle of the store and took off running for the car cart.  Yup it was a fun experience.

Driving a car at the mall.
Playing on the soft play at the mall.  The little girl that is in the top picture, well he kept trying to hug her and hold her hand.  She wasn't having any of it.  That boy is a lover.

At the end of the busy day just hangin with Dad.  So cute.

Abuse?

Not if they are laughing right?!
