18 Months! Really!?! So crazy that MY little boy is 18 months. He has grown up so much in the last couple months. He has gotten taller in the last week. He has been talking A LOT in the last couple days. My brother is always teasing Baine about talking. He always asks him when he is going to talk. He has always said a few words at home. Not in public though. He's mute in public. So I went out to my brothers house the other night and Baine said light, ball, and Molly. I think Kade was impressed. :) So I don't know how the talking usually works but for Baine, he is trying to say everything now it seems. When he says playdough or backyardigans you can't even understand what he is saying. I can but that's because I'm with him all day. He says 1 min. Not minute. Min. He even puts his finger up. If you ask him how old he is he'll just stare at you like your stupid. He asks where Daddy and Zeus are everyday, all day. His favorite toys are his guns and bullets and he'll tell you all about them. He likes to shoot them but mostly he loves to load the gun. He eats everything. We went through a picky stage for a month or so but now he just doesn't care. As long as he's full he is happy. His favorite snack is granola bars and fishys. Together or separate he doesn't care. Favorite meal, mac n' cheese. Favorite drink, well he doesn't seem to care. Water, milk, juice, whatever.
The other day we walked down to the pond to see the fishes. Even though they aren't there right now. It took everything and anything I could think of to get him back to the house because he did not want to come. I finally got him back. We were playing outside and I came in to get a drink walked back out and he was headed to see the fish again. Apparently he knew he wasn't supposed to go by himself since he was running.
Also his running needs some help. He only swings one arm. Please bless he really didn't get stuck with my athletic abilities. If so I'm sorry bud.
Words he's saying
*more
*oops
*uh oh
*juice
*zeus
*daddy
*mom
*gun
*bullets
*this
*fish
*me
*go
*down
*eww
*ball
I love milestones and I'm loving this age. He is so fun right now. He is our entertainment. Happy 18 months!

No Offense
Don't you love when people start off saying something with "no offense". Well I hate to break it to you but there is always a little bit of offense when you say "no offense." So with that said I'm going to start this post off with 'no offense'. I don't mean to offend anyone and I really don't think many people read my blog but I'm sure I'm going to offend someone. That's just the way of the world. This is really not a sensitive subject with me. I just get sick of hearing people complain about this when they haven't really taken the time to get educated on the subject.
I was in Wal-Mart the other day standing in line, and the checker was taking forever so I had the joy of listening to to girls behind me chatting. It went a little bit like this.
Girl 1: So I'm on month 4 and I'm not pregnant.
Girl 2: ohhhhhh that's too bad. I'm sorry.
Girl 1: I mean I'm doing everything I can. How come it isn't happening. I mean I get so sick of hearing people are pregnant. There has to be something wrong with me.
Girl 2: Have you gone to a doctor yet?
Girl 1: No.
Girl 2: You should go. Have you taken ovulation tests?
Girl 1: No.
Yadda Yadda Yadda........I stopped listening. I'm a pretty nosy person but I guess yesterday was my off day. :)
I read a lot about pregnancy and children. I don't really know why. It interests me I guess. I read a lot about Baine and what he should be doing and how he should be developing. So far so good. Haha.
Anyways about pregnancy, it takes the AVERAGE couple 8 months to get pregnant. I'm not saying those 8 months are easy I'm just saying it's statistics. Until you have been having unprotected sex for a year nothing is considered 'wrong with you'. When a year arrives and you are still not pregnant you as a couple are considered infertile. After your year and you decide to seek treatment 1 in 5 couples gets pregnant on their own without ANY treatment. My point to this post is, until you have been trying for a year don't complain. There is always someone out there worse off than you. My best friend tried for 4 years and 3 of those she was on fertility drugs. She even got sent to a specialist at The U which she then finally was able to conceive. Yup 4 years of being poked and prodded. Not 4 months!
I know a lot of people who are struggling to get pregnant, I'm sure we all do. There is more of that these days than not. I think it has to do with our environment and what we put into our bodies. Men too. From everything I've read men have just as much to do with fertility as women. Which sounds like common sense but I think women are just a lot harder on themselves because they are the oven for 9 months.
Anyways this is just my opinion and I guess I can keep the rest to myself. :)

A First
I'm pretty sure it was a first for the both of us. I remember growing up and neighbors would make ice skating rinks and I remember Kade would ice skate but I don't ever remember me going. Anyways if I ever have been you would have never known it. It was hard. I had Kollin take Baine around because Brady wasn't there. I took Baine for maybe 10 feet and I might have gone 20 feet total. It wasn't a good time. Haha.
It was Kentlee's birthday party and I didn't even get a picture of the birthday girl! Happy 6th to her anyways.
The Big Game
I just had to post these pictures because I thought that this was funny and so cute. We went to the McKnight's for the big Steeler vs. Bronco's game. Just for the record I really had a good feeling that the Bronco's were going to win. I should of put a bet on it! I know NOTHING about football but still.........anyways I had to dress Baine up in is Bronco attire because I knew that the other kids would be in their Steeler Jerseys.
Yeah this kid doesn't like to wear pants. It's a fight everyday to get them on him. Oh well look at those cute chubby legs!

Mohawk or Fohawk?
How about.......MOHAWK! The other night I asked Baine if he wanted a haircut, (because he needed one) and he shook his head no. I asked him if he wanted a haircut like Ronin's and he nodded yes and headed upstairs. I thought well alright let's do it.
What a stud! I think he looks pretty cute with the mohawk. He is my kid though. Plus when does he not look cute!?!

New Years
New Years Eve this year we just stayed home and had the Mcknight's come over. We cooked a ham dinner had a few munchies. The two little boys went to bed early and the rest of us made it to midnight to bring in the new year together! Okay well actually one of the big boys, ol' grandpa, (aka Brady) fell asleep at 10:30. Kentlee crashed at about 12:02. She played hard at Dance Central. She's pretty good we were all impressed. It was a fun night but I didn't get any pictures dangit. As for any new year's resolutions, I think I just have 1 that I really have been wanting and needing to work on. Organization. I'm just not a very organized person. I feel like when people are organized their lives are more smooth. I also think that be organized falls into so many different categories so this is a big one for me. I got a new present to start me off with my organization.........
A filing cabinet! Yup, my husband was supposed to make me one and never did and apparently I complained to the right person. I did Shayna's hair the other day and was complaining and this showed up to my house the very next day! I love it and it's already filled. Hopefully my life is on the right track to running more smoothly.

Tarbet Party
We had the Tarbet Family Christmas party this year on New Year's day. Everyone was able to make it except for Tiff's husbad Patrick so it was a lot of fun to see everyone. Grandma had a packed house. There was a lot of good food, crazy kids running around, fun games and pretty funny conversations. Hopefully we always play the game 'Things'. It seems to have turned into a family favorite and it's a lot of fun. Grandma and Grandpa bought Baine a basketball hoop. I don't know who liked it more that night, Bo or Baine. It was fun to watch them play together and surprisingly they were sharing and taking turns really well.
