Day 8

My Family.

I'm pretty sure I have the best family!  They do anything and everything for me.  They are always wanting to go out together and have fun.  I've noticed my family acts more like friends.  We bicker, tease, get annoyed with, and laugh with each other   I read a quote that said you know someone is a true friend when they don't agree with you but they'll let you know how they feel and will still support you.  Yup that sums up my family!

Day 7

Birth Control, Streets Signs, and Government.

I'm grateful for all these things because I have a client who recently went to Haiti for some volunteer work.  She's a nutritionist and she was there to educate, along with a dentist, a doctor, and a mid-wife.  I think there were also a few more people.  She was telling me there was no such thing as birth control, street signs, a government and trash cans let a lone trash bags.  She isn't a huge Obama fan but she said she has never loved that man more.  It's not uncommon over there to be 16 and pregnant.  It's frowned upon but they don't really teach you about abstinence and there isn't any birth control.  She also was telling me that over there when you drive, you pretty much are praying for your life the whole time.  There is no structure, no stop signs, no lights.  You just hope that the person sees you and someone yields!  Well if there are no street signs there's definitely no government!

(So I know I have really bad grammar and punctuation.  Sorry to the people who actually read my blog and notice.  Maybe I will go back to school someday and learn how to write again.)

Day 6

T.V.

Yes I know.  A little worldly but I'm grateful for television.  It's kind of a 'love/hate' relationship.  I love watching what I want to watch but I hate football!  I feel like I can connect with Brady and the television and then there are some nights that I could kill Brady and the T.V.  I do watch too much T.V. though.  I should use it for more resourceful information.  Oh well.  I still love it and I'm grateful I'm not a pioneer without it.

Day 5

Friends

Today I have been reminded how thankful I am to have great friends.   To me, your friends are like family.  They love you, have fun with you, wanna kill you at times.  They don't always agree with everything you are doing, but they are always there for you in the end.  At least the good ones.  They'll take you for who you are and deal with it.  Today I was reminded I needed to be a better friend.

Day 4

Well this day is reminding me how much I love being a Momma.  I've been thinking today, while I have been trying to organize my house better, how grateful I am that I have a child.  Especially one that I was able to have on my own.  At work yesterday, since it was a slow day, we all were talking about how much harder it is these days for people to get pregnant on their own.  Some get pregnant within the first try.  Others months, and others are even years.  Some never at all.  Some have their first baby right away and their next it takes a lot longer to get pregnant.  I only have 1 child but I'm very blessed with him.  If I was only able to have him I would be fine.  I'm sure it could be hard at times but at least I have 1 child.  So since I had a bit of a harder time receiving Baine, and baby #2 is probably going to take some time.  I'm taking this day to being VERY thankful for being a mom.

Day 3

This day reminds me that I'm thankful for my job.  I love having a job where 99% of people leave my chair loving what I did for them.  (The other 1% is the kids whose parents drag them in.)  I love that for 1 hour or so that person can relax and do something for themself.  I love my job because I'm good at what I do and I enjoy what I do.  Most of my clients become friends and I also love that.  The 1 and only thing I hate about my job, I hate charging.  I would do it for free.  If I didn't need the money I really would do it for free.

Thankful

This is the month of being thankful.  Okay okay so I know I should be thankful every month and every day but this is the month that you get to express how thankful you are without sounding too sappy....right?  Last year, I don't remember who it was, but someone wrote on their blog everyday about something they are thankful for.  So if you don't want to vomit in your mouth, don't read my blog for the next 30 days.  :)

Day 1
My Home

I'm very thankful that I own a house.  Sort of own.  Haha.  I'm not an official owner for 29 more years which if Brady gets his way we won't be in this particular house.  Anywayyyyyssss, I'm thankful for this because I am only 26 years old and I don't need a big fancy house.  I need something I can afford.  This house is perfect.  Perfect size, perfect in looks (with some tweeking), perfect location.  I love it!  So I am very thankful for my home.

Day 2
Nieces and Nephews

I'm choosing day two for the nieces and nephews because it's cute little Bo's birthday today.  (Nov 2nd)  I love being an Aunt!  I love ALL of my little nieces and nephews.  I love them as if they all were my own.  I would like to kick their butts sometimes.  I love to cuddle them and kiss them.  I love to play with them.  I miss them all the time too.  I'm lucky that I live so close to the Tarbet side and I can pretty much see them whenever I want.  It's the Bobka side that is a little harder to get to.  I wish there were more too.  :)  Nothing puts a smile on faces like a child does and those kids are always putting a smile on my face!  (too sappy?)
